We wrap up this series with a delightful, down-to-earth, heart-to-heart visit with Leah King.

Leah has spent a lifetime earning her paycheck working in churches, and it has formed her in ways you might not expect. She confesses that God does not “speak” to her the way many people profess to hear God. Rather, she seems to know her next right step more through open doors that people shove or kick her through. Similarly, her moments of standing in the presence of something greater than herself come not in church, but outdoors or seeing something extraordinary happen between people. She describes it as a “Forever Ongoingness, which is very stabilizing and hope-giving as things change radically.”

Do yourself a favor; clear some time on your calendar, make yourself some tea (hot, or iced like we do down here in Texas), cozy up, and allow yourself to be nourished with the grandmotherly wisdom and love of someone who’s lived and seen a lot…and still has hope.
