This week we visit with Rev. Diane McGehee who has survived abusive relationships, attempted to end her life by suicide, lived on the street, overcome her conservative Christian upbringing, and raised her sons as a single mother. She is a self-proclaimed “lover of control” and a “fixer”, and all of this has been fodder for her to learn how the simplest and most common things like breathing, the rising sun, walking on the beach, and having the presence to actually see what’s in front of us are the portals that connect us with a knowing, strength, and ability to make an impact that is far beyond what our minds can even imagine. We cover a lot in our conversation, and her wisdom is rich with layers and layers of truth and goodness. This is one you’ll want to savor.
