You and Your Spiritual Adventure

“The spiritual adventure is discipleship,” says Goswami Kriyananda.

“I’m not just talking about myself as a guru, but about all the gurus on the face of the earth today. The spiritual adventure is an attempt to understand and seek out what is best called communion, the meeting of the divine.”

In this recording, Kriyananda tells a “didactic story,” in which a number of dogs suffering from a drought meet a guru. The guru teaches them to chant for rain. The dogs are not able to chant properly, but their sincerity causes the rain to come and the drought ends. Thus, they are instrumental in bringing about the renewed life of all the living beings of the land.

Kriyananda adds: “Discipleship and the secret of the relationship between you and God and Guru is linked to this story.
