Our certification program is taught by a team of highly qualified Yoga Instructors who are committed to applying the principles of yoga to their own lives. Certified through the Temple’s program, they bring years of study, practice, and teaching experience to the training.
Classes will meet in-person at the Temple of Kriya Yoga, 1925 W. Division, Chicago, IL.
Experience practical training in Hatha Yoga while cultivating the theoretical knowledge necessary to take the rewarding step from student to teacher. You will be provided with the necessary tools and techniques to successfully teach a wide variety of students. Learn how to structure and create your own practice, develop greater control of your body and mind and gain an increased confidence in your abilities as a teacher.
This course can be one of the most important experiences of your life. Over the years the Temple has trained hundreds of students in the science of yoga. Many of these students are now using this knowledge to teach, to support themselves, to refine their own spiritual practice and to help others to develop a life of greater health, happiness, and wisdom. By enrolling in this 7-month training program, you will reap innumerable benefits which will last a lifetime! Materials include more that 20 lectures on yoga philosophy and teaching methodology by Goswami Kriyananda.

Returning Students
As a graduate of the Hatha Yoga Teacher Training program at the temple you are invited to audit the next session of the HYTT. Auditing the program gives you an opportunity to deepen your personal practice and polish your teaching skills. Also the contact hours can be used toward Continuing Education (CE) Requirements set by Yoga Alliance (details at: https://www.yogaalliance.org/Credentialing/ContinuingEducation).
Returning Students
Audit the Entire Program - $1,430 (does not include manual)
If you have graduated from our 200 hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training you have full continued access to our course materials. There is no need to repurchase the course binder.
Attend any and all classes with full participation; homework exams and teaching practicum not required.
Hours can be used for continuing education credit with Yoga Alliance.
New Students
Audit the Entire Program - $2,500 (includes manual)
Please select this option if you have not graduated from our 200 hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training, and you are a certified graduate of another HYTT. Full access to classes and course materials, as well.
Hours can be used for continuing education credit with Yoga Alliance.
Retreats
Virtual retreats are held twice a year, in spring and fall. Retreat dates are announced to course participants 60 days prior to the retreat. To accommodate the international student body the retreat times will be adjusted based upon the locations of currently enrolled students. Attendance at one retreat is required for course certification.
If in person retreats are offered there is a supplemental fee which will be announced at the time of the retreat.
